A little bit about me, by me...Hi, my name is Madison Galloway. I'm a 15-year-old Canadian musician, singer, & songwriter from Fergus, Ontario. I love music! I started playing piano when I was six, I've been playing guitar, and singing for 3 years now. I also play harmonica, ukulele, violin, and banjo. I would like to learn how to play every instrument there is!
I'll be performing around Ontario all summer. So...please Like my Facebook Page to find out where I'll be, and come introduce yourself! I'd love to meet you! :)
What others are saying...Madison! Wow! That's all... Just WOW! Madison is certainly one of the most refined performers for her age that I have come across in years! ~ Rudi Jock
You are fearless, hardworking, talented and clearly keen to make music a huge part of your life. ~ Katherine Wheatley I was talking to a friend of mine today about Madison's talent, and I said how on her CD, I hear the influences of Joni Mitchell's guitar and Neil Young's harmonica playing ~ Greg Hayes |

We loved Madison's music at the Local Food Fest. Madison you are an amazingly talented musician and you had us all spell bound back in June. ~ Christina Mann
I listened to Madison's CD twice at Silver Willow and five times back-to-back on the way home, and wow, I can't believe how much I enjoy it. It's hard to describe why exactly. It's somehow the way Madison's soothing voice creates this amazing melody backed by her very good guitar strumming. I find there is so much going on here with her added instruments and backup vocals it makes it even greater. Her songs convey everything I love about acoustic music from the past but yet there is also this modern flavour that is very uplifting and optimistic. There's no doubt in my mind that she will become well known in the music industry. ~ Greg Hayes
Hi Madison, I saw you play last night at Starbucks, You opened with one of my favourite songs. I love Heart of Gold :) Anyway, I just wanted to say I found your performance very inspiring. You're not only talented but also quite fearless. Good for you! :D Thanks for a great show. ~ Andor Salga
It's a joy for me to work with such a young girl who has this immense talent. Everything about Madison just screams professionalism. From her music and vocal style, to her confident stage presence, down to her quality CD sound, and the pictures included with it....it all says, I'm doing everything right and I know where I want to go. ~ Greg Hayes
Innocence and purity, although similar, are not synonymous. Innocence is a thing that all too often becomes wounded and hemorrhages into a hard scab of cynicism. In rare cases though, innocence survives and blossoms into a more authentic adulthood of purity still in tune with the beauty of the earth and not turned against it by the cruel, indifferent machinations of the universe. The presence of this is like a drop of iodine in contaminated water: just a drop and it immediately begins clearing the sickness surrounding it.
I experienced a similar phenomenon to to this when Madison Galloway first entered Night and Day Studios in Brampton, Ontario on March 6th 2015 to perform at their bi-weekly open mic event. When Madison took the stage and began performing, the audience immediately became struck by a wave of refreshingly clear air as it struck our ears and filled our minds like the first inhalation of a spring wind which has within it the aura of life for the first time in months.
Madison’s voice is blessedly honest and straightforward. It fires straight like an arrow, filled with humanity, honesty, open-mindedness, and a plain-spoken wisdom rooted in an untainted, unclouded perspective. It presents itself with the beautiful humility of a true emerald, less polished or designed, but more human, real and still rooted in the earth. If faced with the choice of buying a synthetic emerald or a real one, I will choose the real one every time.
This all might make one think that Madison’s appeal lies only in her youth, this would be so extremely false and foolhardy. Madison is not naive, and this is a key concept to remember. She is not blind to the darkness of the world. As a teenager she sees it, or is beginning to see it. She keeps her eyes open, her head propped up, and – supported by fantastic, loving and warm family – she carries the nurtured purity of her being into the blasted landscape of the future, singing the world back to life by nurturing the casualties within it with the wisdom of the songs she sings and the vocal humanity with which she sings them. ~ Paul Costa
She is smart, clever, full of energy, and has so much love for everything the world has to offer.
The first time Madison impressed me was when she wrote her first song, “Like to know”, it was her first, but you would swear it was her 100th. Full of powerful lyrics and well-orchestrated instrumental pieces. You wouldn’t know she was 15 when you listen to it.
With each new song, I became more and more mesmerized. “Flicker” her second song, about summer romance, blew me away and I found myself humming it morning, noon and night. Her 3rd song, “Come and Go”, made me want to dance on a beach, and eventually I found myself unable to talk to people about anything else but Madison and her songs. ~ Khalel Mohammed
Madison and Carolyn sounded so great together, like a title wave of positive energy. These two are natural born performers. On guitar is Madison, and she's only 15, but the soul of a pro, and Carolyn plays keyboards and percussion....what a team. ~ Greg Hayes
